The financial status of Unit 254 is currently $44, 265 usd. Thanks to outgoing treasurer, Keith Gunn, for his excellent stewardship of Unit 254 monies !
The Unit 254 Sectional, 2-4 February 2024 achieved a financial profit.
The Regional, 27 February-2 March 2024, due to having to cover losses sustained in the 2 previous years Regionals, did not achieve a profit.
The board is currently exploring options to improve the management of Unit 254 monies. Better protection of funds and easier access being the key concerns. NGO status is being explored as a possible better option for Unit 254 funds.
A lively discussion erupted about only 21 boards play Wednesday at TBS, sometimes leading to only 16 or 18 boards being played. Members voted that a minimum of 21 boards be played with a maximum of 24 boards.
The Bridge Studio’s less than desirable location along with other conditions that make the room uncomfortable, unenjoyable and unhealthy have led to a search for a new venue. A better venue has been identified by Mary Seggerman and is aggressively being pursued by the board.
Ian Irving and Alan Green updated all on the status of the Bridge lessons and bridge clinics they offer. Their efforts have led to an increase in new players joining up as well as allowing others to improve their game. Bravo to both of them !

After the AGM, the board members met. After a discussion about the new rules regarding ACBL membership $ sharing, a new board position was added. Additionally, board positions were reassigned as follows:
